It's happening March 23rd, 2019 in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia on Cape Breton Island!

Join us March 23rd, from 10am to 5pm, as we gather together to celebrate creativity, each other and the turning of the season. It’s the Spring Equinox and the start of Spring. What better way to embrace fresh starts and new beginnings than to get together for our first ever Mini Creative Soul Weekend and create some magic of our own?

What's Included in the Fun?

  • Grounding Meditation and Yoga with Molly Fletcher

  • A Graphic Memoir Workshop with Alison Uhma

  • Beautiful and nourishing food (lunch, snacks) prepared by Susan MacDonald

  • A full day dedicated to you - to hit pause, connect with yourself, have meaningful conversations, and tap into your creative side

  • A welcome gift to thank you for joining us!

Grounding Meditation and Yoga with Molly Fletcher

For the Mini Creative Soul Weekend, our class will revolve around awareness of the body-breathe connection.  A grounding arrival meditation to centre the mind, body, and breath will be followed with a gentle flow through various Asanas (postures).  These postures naturally stretch the muscles and open the joints of the body, while simultaneously providing vital Prana (energy) throughout the body, mind, & Spirit.

Graphic Memoir Workshop led by artist Alison Uhma

This Graphic Memoir workshop will focus on creating a brief autobiographical narrative. Sharing stories in this manner is a popular and important form of personal expression and art making. The workshop will focus on the theme of beginning, and leads from some group drawing into the creation of a personal narrative. Participants will work to create one page (size 10 x 13 inch) of work inspired by the theme of beginning. A resource and inspiration library is made available to all attendees. Participants are asked to bring a sketchbook, and any art supplies they like working with. Supplies other than a sketchbook are provided. Experience in drawing is not necessary, just you!

Nourishing Food Created with love by Susan MacDonald

Susan will be creating for us a custom food experience inspired by the spring equinox and the event theme of renewal, rebirth and fresh energy. Drawing on Susan’s knowledge of nutrition, the seven chakra colours, and complementary flavours, the snack and lunch courses will be not only delicious but vegan and gluten-free!
